Let’s be honest: Summer looked a lot more manageable back in January when you were planning it out in your head. Now it’s here, the kids are home, and the question of what are we actually doing this summer is suddenly very real.
If you haven’t locked in summer camp yet, take a breath. You’re not too late. Discovery Lab at Tiny Town still has spots open, and if you’ve never heard of it, consider this your sign to keep reading, because this is not your average drop-off-and-hope-for-the-best situation.
This Isn’t Just Any Summer Camp
We know you have options. Lancaster County has no shortage of summer programs, and every single one of them will tell you they’re the best. So we’re not going to do that. Instead, we’re just going to tell you what actually happens here and let you decide.
Discovery Lab is Tiny Town’s signature summer camp experience, built from the ground up for children ages 3 to 8. Not adapted from a program designed for older kids. Not a one-size-fits-all week of arts and crafts. Every single activity, every daily schedule, every theme is designed with your youngest learners specifically in mind.
The days are hands-on and STEAM-powered, which sounds fancy but really just means your kid is building, experimenting, creating, problem-solving, and playing in ways that feel nothing like school. They’re also completely screen-free, which, honestly, might be the thing parents love most.
Two Programs, Because 3-Year-Olds and 7-Year-Olds Are Not the Same Kid
We get it. What works for your rising second grader is not going to work for your newly-minted preschooler. That’s exactly why we offer two distinct programs:
Pre-K Camp – NEW this year! (Ages 3–5)
This drop-off program is brand new for 2026, and we are so excited about it! Designed for children ages 3 to 5, including incoming Kindergartners, Pre-K Camp runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 AM to 12 PM, June 9 through August 21. It’s a gentle, play-based introduction to the camp experience that focuses on building confidence, social skills, and early learning in a safe, nurturing environment. At $95 per week for two days, or $48 per day and it’s also one of the most accessible options around for this age group.
Big Kid Camp (Ages 4–8)
Monday through Friday, June 8 through August 7, with both half-day and full-day options available. Each week of Big Kid Camp has its own theme – we’re talking Messy Science Lab, Magic & Wonder, Kid Chef, Builders Lab, Art Explosion, Time Travelers, and more. Your child can join for one week or the whole summer, and there’s always something new waiting for them. Half-day weeks start at $200; full-day weeks start at $375.
What Makes Us Different? Honestly, A Lot of Things.
We’ve been doing this for over 10 years, and the families who come back every summer aren’t coming back out of habit. They’re coming back because of the experience – and because their kids ask to.
A few things you won’t find just anywhere:
- The playhouses. Every camper gets supervised playtime in Tiny Town’s 12 luxury playhouses: a fire station, a market, a salon, a café, and more. It’s imaginative play built right into the camp day, and it’s completely unique to us.
- The cleanliness. If you’ve visited Tiny Town before, you already know. If you haven’t, it’s one of the first things every family notices, and it matters.
- The staff. Our educators are trained, compassionate, and genuinely love what they do. They’re not just babysitters filling a summer job; they’re the reason kids walk out on Friday asking when they get to come back.
- The weather is never a problem. We’re fully indoor and climate-controlled, with a tent outside for fresh air and movement. Rain, heat wave, whatever – camp runs as planned.
- No screens. Ever. Kids are active, engaged, and present all day long. Full stop.
Still On the Fence? Here’s the Real Talk.
Summer goes fast. Like, really fast. And the weeks that tend to fill up first are the ones you’d expect – the splashy themes, the full-day options, the weeks right at the start of summer when everyone finally decides to commit.
We don’t want you to miss out because you waited a little too long. Spots are available right now, registration takes just a few minutes, and your child could have a summer they’re still talking about in September.
If your child has any allergies, learning differences, physical needs, or anything else we should know about, just include it on the registration form. Our team reviews every single one so we can make sure your child feels set up for success from day one.
Ready to Make It Official?
Whether you’re joining us for one week or the whole summer, there’s still time to get your child into Discovery Lab at Tiny Town. Spots are going fast, especially for full-day sessions and the most popular theme weeks. Register for camp or feel free to reach out with questions. We can’t wait to welcome your family to Town!
